#@: Canon EF S 18 55mm f 3.5 5.6 USM SLR Lens for Select Digital Rebel and EOS SLRs

I own 3 lens. This is the worst, Feels and looks like garbage. Focus is pretty bad but Ok, Have tryed the IS version, way better than this even without IS on, Note that the IS one has a bigger front element. Also zoom is awkward, Overall.

Things to think about:

1.-This lens has a P&S quality.

2.-Try to get the IS one.

3.-If more money then get Sigma 18-50 2.8-4 OS

4.-If much more money get the tammy 2.8

$*$ Brother MFC 230c Color Inkjet Multi Function Center

We got this printer about a year ago and, for the most part, really like it. We mostly use it for documents with the occasional color print of maps or what not and, for that use, it does a good job.

The problem that we run into is even if you aren't using the color ink, the cartridges still dry up and empty. No big deal, right? Like I said, I mostly want it for documents and I'll just stick with the black ink. Nope. Once the color dries up the printer wont work. The black ink cartridge will be full and you can can go into the properties of the computer and the printer and say that you just want a grey scale printout but it wont let you saying you need the color ink to do anything. Replacing the color isn't cheap and just having it sit there dehydrating is frustrating to say the least.

Good printer. Good scanner. Just frustrating.

-- Tamron AF 55 200mm F 4.0 5.6 Di II LD Macro Lens for Nikon Digital SLR Cameras

Pros:

Compact

Light-weight

Good feel/build, looks great too!

Wide coverage of focal lenghts

Cons:

Poor image quality

Loss of contrast

I bought this lens about six months ago for my Nikon D60, despite the fact that it would not auto-focus with my camera. Even when properly focused, I would notice a loss of saturation and contrast at longer focal lengths, and often the effects were beyond the help of photoshop. It was a shame; the lens really felt good in my hands; it was a decent size, good build to it, and the included hood was nice; just lacking in image quality.
