We got this printer about a year ago and, for the most part, really like it. We mostly use it for documents with the occasional color print of maps or what not and, for that use, it does a good job.
The problem that we run into is even if you aren't using the color ink, the cartridges still dry up and empty. No big deal, right? Like I said, I mostly want it for documents and I'll just stick with the black ink. Nope. Once the color dries up the printer wont work. The black ink cartridge will be full and you can can go into the properties of the computer and the printer and say that you just want a grey scale printout but it wont let you saying you need the color ink to do anything. Replacing the color isn't cheap and just having it sit there dehydrating is frustrating to say the least.
Good printer. Good scanner. Just frustrating.
